The Arabic and World Literature (AWL) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing, research integrity, editorial transparency, and ethical conduct.

The journal follows internationally recognized best practices in academic publishing and is dedicated to ensuring fairness, objectivity, accountability, and scientific rigor throughout the editorial and publication process.

The following policies govern the submission, review, publication, and dissemination of scholarly content published in AWL. Before submitting your manuscript, please make sure to review the full AWL Author Guidelines.

Editorial Policies:

Peer Review Policy: AWL employs a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, validity, and originality of published research.

Publication Ethics Policy: The journal is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing and expects all participants in the publication process to adhere to these standards.

Research Misconduct Policy: AWL does not tolerate plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, image manipulation, duplicate publication, or any other form of research misconduct.

Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies Policy: Authors must disclose the use of artificial intelligence tools in manuscript preparation. AI systems cannot be listed as authors.

Conflict of Interest Policy: Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any relationships or interests that may influence their professional judgment.

Data Sharing and Reproducibility Policy: Authors are encouraged to make research data available to support transparency, reproducibility, and verification of research findings.

Publishing Policies

Open Access Policy: AWL operates under a fully open-access publishing model, ensuring unrestricted access to all published content.

Copyright and Licensing Policy: Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right to publish and disseminate accepted manuscripts under the applicable Creative Commons license.

Self-Archiving Policy: Authors may archive accepted and published versions of their work in institutional repositories and other non-commercial platforms in accordance with journal policies.

Corrections, Retractions, and Post-Publication Discussions: The journal maintains procedures for publishing corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, and other post-publication updates when necessary.

Complaints and Appeals Policy: Authors and readers may submit complaints or appeals regarding editorial decisions, publication ethics, or journal operations.

Archiving and Preservation Policy: AWL is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content through recognized digital preservation mechanisms.

Revenue Sources Policy: The journal operates through Article Processing Charges (APCs), publisher support, and other lawful funding sources. Revenue sources do not influence editorial decisions.

Advertising Policy: Advertising activities, if accepted, remain entirely independent from editorial decision-making.

Direct Marketing Policy: All promotional activities conducted on behalf of the journal are accurate, transparent, ethical, and non-misleading.

Editorial Independence:

AWL is published by Andromeda Publishing and Academic Services. Editorial decisions are made exclusively by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board based on scientific merit, originality, methodological quality, and relevance to the journal's scope.

Article Processing Charges (APCs), advertising revenue, sponsorships, or any other financial considerations do not influence editorial decisions.

Policy Updates

The journal reserves the right to revise and update its policies as necessary to reflect developments in scholarly publishing, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. The most current version of each policy is available on the journal website.
